EDBT Summer School 2009 Venue

EDBT Summer School 2009 lectures will be held at the Holiday club Belambra in Presqu'ile de Giens.

Accommodation

Students participating in the summer school have accommodation in double rooms as part of their registration fee.

Getting to the club Belambra in Presqu’ile de Giens

** Please note that the club Belambra is located in the southeast coast of Presqu’ile de Giens. Therefore, it is necessary to take a second transport in addition to your train (or plain). See below for bus and taxi alternatives.

By train you can travel to the following stations:

• TGV Toulon station

• Hyères-les-palmiers station (12 km away)

By airplane you can travel to the following airports:

• Toulon – Hyeres national airport (10 km away)

• Nice Cote d’Azur international airport (150 km away)

Once you are in the airport or the SNCF train station of Hyères you can take the bus number 67 until you arrive to the club Belambra (Bus N° 67 schedule)

You can also take a taxi: 25 euros coming from the airport and 45 euros from the SNCF train station of Toulon.

By car you may take the following directions coming from Nice (estimated time 2 h 15 min):

• Marseille –> Toulon –> Presqu’ile de Giens

• Marseille –> Toulon –> Les iles Porquerolles

You are invited to the Cocktail at the terrace bar of the school venue.

Excursions

Excursion to the island of Porquerolles after lunch (Wednesday, September 2).

We encourage you to visit some typical villages of Provance: Saint-Tropez, Saint Raphael, Bormes-les-Mimosas.
